Beavers Pick Up 7-4 Win
|
The Portland Beavers downed the Bloomington Blazers, 7-4, at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. Anuvaha Tasha led the way, going 3-for-5 for Portland. Pedro Pérez was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Earning his 13th save of the year was Toyotomi Nakano.
Tasha provided the big break for the Beavers in the top of the fifth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run, helping Portland to get the win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Tasha.
At 29-27, Portland is in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.
