Eugene Emeralds starter Jake Adkins was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the St. Paul Saints, 4-3. James Woodard earned the save, his 22nd. The slumping Saints have lost 7 straight.

Roy Johnston contributed to the Eugene cause with a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he drew a walk, propelling Eugene to the win.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Jonathan Barnes.
