Weldon Excels in New Orleans Win
|
The New Orleans Jedi Knights cruised to a 18-4 win over the Boise Bloodhounds at Grand Canyon Valley Park today. Edison Weldon led the way, going 3-for-4 for New Orleans. New Orleans currently is in first place in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division at 58-31.
New Orleans shortstop Gilbert Blanchard helped the Jedi Knights go up, 2-0, in the top of the second inning. With the game tied, Blanchard hit a 2-run double off Boise pitcher Arsenio Ranho.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Blanchard.
