The Eugene Emeralds got a good effort from starter Jake Adkins in defeating the Baltimore Blue Claws at Prefontaine Park. The final score was 3-2. Eugene reliever José Díaz was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Todd Couch. Eugene has now won 6 straight.

Eugene grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and a runner on 1st, Andreas Kubel delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Emeralds.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager David Parker, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
