Kimura Excels in Eugene Win
The Eugene Emeralds downed the San Angelo Mustangs, 9-4, at Prefontaine Park. The Emeralds were led by Masayuki Kimura, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Eugene currently is in third place in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division at 49-36.

In the bottom of the second inning, Eugene got a break when Kimura went to the plate. With one out, the bases empty and the Emeralds trailing 1-0, Kimura hit a solo home run.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Kimura.
