Victoria starter Maurice Bignold had a strong outing against the Baltimore Blue Claws at The drakkar. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 6-5 win. The winner was Victoria reliever Jean-François Blot, now 4-5. The loser was Elton Clare. Victoria is now 37-46, while Baltimore is 51-32.

Victoria took a 6-5 lead on Phil Parker's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Baltimore pitcher Elton Clare in the bottom of the seventh.

"Enjoyed this one," Parker told the Victoria Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
