Knights Come Back Late to Clip Frosties
The Kingwood Knights beat the Barrow Frosties, 8-6, at Stable Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Carlton Jackson, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kingwood reliever Larry Greer picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Ernest Sizemore absorbed the loss. The last-place Knights raised their record to 24-55.

Kingwood grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the eighth, when Jackson hit a 2-run single. His 45th hit of the season put the Knights out in front, 8-6.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Jackson.
