Thrilling Walk-Off Win for River Chiefs
The Chippewa River Chiefs picked up a win at The Reservation, knocking off the Charleston Panthers, 9-7. Starting pitcher Matsuyo Koda was an essential part of his team's success. Chippewa reliever George Fortin Jr. picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Jonathan Potier shouldered the loss. The River Chiefs improve their record to 45-35 with the win over Charleston.

Jeff Bryan was the walk-off hero for Chippewa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Chippewa pinch hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.

Koda said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
