Blue Claws Fall Short, 4-3, at St. Paul
|
Baltimore pitcher Leslie Arrington gave the Saints all they could handle, but in the end, St. Paul left Saints Ballpark with a 4-3 win. Arrington allowed 1 earned run on 1 hit over 6 innings. The 4th-place Saints improved to 42-35.
St. Paul took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Joe Bennett hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Saints fans to their feet.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said St. Paul manager Jonathan Barnes. "It's usually not just one thing."
