Saints Turn Back Baltimore, 6-4
|
St. Paul starter Ju-ao Ru pitched effectively against the Baltimore Blue Claws at Saints Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 6-4 win. St. Paul is now 41-35, Baltimore 48-28.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Saints had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when designated hitter Ernesto Cruz hit a solo home run. The home run came off Manuel Cortéz and made the score 2-1, Saints. Cruz was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk.
"Ju-ao was pounding the zone," said St. Paul manager Jonathan Barnes.
