Nichols got a strong outing from Pedro Alejo as the Gnats defeated the San Angelo Mustangs, 3-2, at The Pond. The 'W' lifts Nichols's record to 27-50.
Rick MacEachern was one of the major contributors to the win for Nichols. The light-hitting shortstop stroked a double to right in the bottom of the first inning. For the day, he was 1-3 with a double.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Alejo.
