Portland got a strong outing from Daryl Harrison as the Beavers defeated the Bloomington Blazers, 4-1, at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. Toyotomi Nakano converted his 12th save in 13 tries. Portland is in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division with a record of 28-27.

With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the top of the sixth inning, right fielder António Barbarro delivered big for the Beavers. Portland was leading 1-0 when he belted a 3-run home run.

"Daryl was throwing strikes, locating well," said Portland manager Ryan Blandford.
