Moreno Helps Vikings Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Victoria Vikings topped the Charleston Panthers, 9-2, with shortstop Pedro Moreno playing a big role. Moreno was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6 for the Vikings in the win. The 5th-place Vikings have won 4 straight games.
Moreno put Victoria up, 8-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Ben Larsen in the bottom of the sixth. His 11th home run of the season helped the Vikings capture the win.
"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Todd Hall.
