|
Charleston right-hander Francisco Zúñiga made an effective start against the Nichols Gnats at Franklin Mountains Field, leading his team to a 6-3 win. The save went to Vincent Casanova, his 2nd this season. The Gnats, at 26-49, have lost 4 straight games.
Charleston took a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, right fielder Zheng-ze Joe hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Zúñiga.
