The San Angelo Mustangs and St. Paul Saints played an exciting game at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium.

St. Paul got a terrific performance from pitcher Tom Daly, but it wasn't enough to beat the San Angelo Mustangs. San Angelo won the Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium contest, 4-3. Daly was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball. Earning his 14th save of the year was Luis Domínguez.

Had it not been for Damien Lapierre, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Mustangs were trailing 2-1, Lapierre hit a 3-run home run for San Angelo, giving his team the lead.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said St. Paul manager Jonathan Barnes. "The effort was great."

St. Paul, at 40-35, has lost 4 straight.
