Behind a solid performance from right fielder Chris Griffin, the Victoria Vikings defeated the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 6-5. Griffin was 3-3 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Vikings. Victoria reliever Enrico Vélez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Yoshikazu Ichihara shouldered the loss. With the win, the Vikings have a record of 28-42.

Mo-ruo Nan's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Yoshikazu Ichihara for a run-scoring double. It put Victoria in front, 6-5.
