Blue Claws Sneak Past Knights, 6-5

The Baltimore Blue Claws and Kingwood Knights obliged those fans who came to Old Bay Park hoping for an exciting game.
Baltimore beat Kingwood at Old Bay Park, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Jason Brown, who earned player of the game honors. He was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. The winner was Baltimore reliever Oliver Pitcher, now 3-1. The loser was Nakamaro Kichida. Tim Stady was called on to finish, recording his 19th save.
Baltimore took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Yasujiro Okawa hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Blue Claws fans to their feet.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Okawa told the Baltimore News.
The first-place Blue Claws have won 4 straight.
