Dedicated fans at Franklin Mountains Field weathered the storm to watch their beloved Panthers beat the Warriors.
Charleston pitcher Ben Larsen did his part in helping his team beat the Winfield Warriors, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Larsen, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks.
Zheng-ze Joe's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 3-3. The Charleston right fielder hit a 2-run single off Alejandro Zorros to put the Panthers up.
"We take it day by day here," said Joe, "and today was a good one for us."
The Panthers now have a record of 25-42.
