The Cyclones grabbed a win, 6-3, at The Reservation, overcoming a fine effort from Chippewa pitcher Kichibei Endo. Endo went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Cyclones improve their record to 28-41 with the win over Chippewa.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when third baseman Jens de Wijs drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Cyclones went on to win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," de Wijs told the Coney Island News.
