Tong Stars in River Chiefs Win
|
The Chippewa River Chiefs downed the Coney Island Cyclones, 8-4, at The Reservation. Wang Tong led the way, going 4-for-5 for Chippewa. Felipe Arreola, the winner, improved to 6-4. He held the Cyclones to 2 runs on 2 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Chippewa is now 38-30, Coney Island 27-41.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the The Reservation crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Tong.
