Knights Drop Another One
|
San Angelo starter Marcos Colón pitched effectively against the Kingwood Knights at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 5-2 win. The save went to Beau Miller, his 7th this season. The Kingwood losing skid has reached 7 games.
The San Angelo win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Kichisaburo Nishimura. In the bottom of the fifth, the San Angelo catcher came to bat and hit a 2-run single. It staked his team to a 3-1 lead.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Rodger Raymond. "But it's got to translate into wins."
