Chippewa right-hander Josuke Fujihara made an effective start against the Eugene Emeralds at Prefontaine Park, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Vítor Carrlo got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Earning his 13th save of the year was George Fortin Jr..

Bryce Woodard had the most critical at-bat for Chippewa. With two in the top of the ninth inning, Woodard hit a 0-1 cutter from James Woodard for a 2-run single. It put Chippewa in front, 4-3.

Fujihara told a Chippewa Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The second-place River Chiefs lifted their record to 37-29.
