Warriors Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Jedi Knights
A nice crowd turned out to see the Winfield Warriors and New Orleans Jedi Knights clash at The Republic.

Winfield starter Pang Ji pitched effectively against the New Orleans Jedi Knights at The Republic. The right-hander led his team to a 7-4 win. The win was Quang Thuan's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Yoshikazu Ichihara took the loss for New Orleans.

One significant at-bat for Winfield came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the ninth. Warriors left fielder Claudio Ramírez drew a walk, which helped Winfield go on to win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ramírez told the Winfield Times.

The Warriors go to 38-25, putting them third in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division.
