The Baltimore Blue Claws picked up a win at Old Bay Park, knocking off the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 9-3. Starting pitcher Randy Gould played a key role in the triumph. Gould, now 4-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Baltimore is now 34-24. New Orleans is 41-16.

Larry Sloan helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Blue Claws.

In comments to the Baltimore News, Gould admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
