|
Portland beat San Francisco, 7-6. The win in part was due to left fielder Vihaan Vedant, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with 4 singles. Portland reliever Toyotomi Nakano picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Paul Groulx took the loss. The Beavers now own a record of 27-27.
Luis Ricciardi was the walk-off hero for Portland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Portland shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Vedant said.
