Grays Cut Down Mustangs, 5-4
|
The Georgia Grays turned back the Mile High Mustangs, 5-4, at McNichols Stadium. António Rojas was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The first-place Grays have a one-game lead in their division.
Georgia grabbed the momentum in the top of the sixth, when Rojas, who is a four-time Gold Glove Award winner, hit a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Grays out in front, 5-3.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Mile High manager Dave Harris. "But we decided not to take it."
