The Eugene Emeralds got a superb performance from catcher Carlos Vásquez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Baltimore. The Blue Claws won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Vásquez was named the player of the game. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The save was credited to Tim Stady, his 12th. The Emeralds have now dropped 5 straight.

Yo Luo was one of the major contributors to the win for Baltimore. The light-hitting center fielder stroked a triple to right-center in the bottom of the sixth inning. For the day, he went 2-3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI.
