Win Streak Now at 7 for Mustangs

The San Angelo Mustangs extended their winning streak at Coney Island Coliseum.
San Angelo Mustangs starter Kunihiko Morita pitched a strong game against the Coney Island Cyclones at Coney Island Coliseum, leading the Mustangs to a 8-3 win. Morita went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 4-2.
Kichisaburo Nishimura had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for the Mustangs. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and San Angelo trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run double.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Morita.
The losses continue to mount for Coney Island, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
