Frosties Fall Short at Boise
|
The Boise Bloodhounds topped the Barrow Frosties, 5-4, with youngster Marcos Ortíz playing a key role. Ortíz went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bloodhounds in the win. Boise goes to 22-26, Barrow to 24-24.
Ortíz turned the game around in the bottom of the eighth. That's when the Boise pinch hitter dialed up a 3-run home run. Just like that, Boise's 4-2 deficit turned into a 5-4 lead.
"It was a good effort all around," said Ortíz.
