Mustangs Raise Rally Flag, Beat Eugene, 2-1
|
The San Angelo Mustangs picked up a win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, knocking off the Eugene Emeralds, 2-1. Starting pitcher Robby Tillman, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The San Angelo winning streak has now reached 4 games.
Steven Darby was the walk-off hero for San Angelo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the San Angelo third baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Darby.
