The Eugene Emeralds got a stellar effort from pitcher Francisco Cohen, helping Eugene score a 5-2 win over the visiting Charleston Panthers. The save went to James Woodard, his 11th this season. With the win over Charleston, the Emeralds improved to 26-19.

Eugene right fielder Mark MacBurie made his contribution to the Emeralds cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the third inning. For the day, MacBurie went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
