The Blue Claws had to overcome a good performance from Victoria pitcher Yoshimochi Chikuda to claim a 6-3 win at Old Bay Park. Chikuda went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Baltimore reliever Marquise Sidotti picked up the win to move to 2-0. Chris Bradley suffered the loss. Tim Stady earned the save for Baltimore, his 8th.

Also pitching for Baltimore was designated hitter Cevdet Karpat, who hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, Karpat was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
