Tony Ruíz pitched a gem to lead Boise to a 2-1 victory over the Coney Island Cyclones. Mitsuzuka Nakano closed the game out for Boise, earning his 11th save. The win puts the Bloodhounds at 20-25, while the Cyclones drop to 20-25.
Boise first baseman Stan Bell contributed to the cause with a single in the top of the fifth. For the game, Bell went 1-4.
"We were in it," said Coney Island manager Loren Garrison. "We just didn't score enough runs."
