Late Rally by Bloodhounds Secures Win
Fans at Coney Island Coliseum were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Coney Island Cyclones take on the Boise Bloodhounds.

The Bloodhounds had to overcome a fine performance from Coney Island pitcher Austin Covey to grab a 8-7 win at Coney Island Coliseum. Covey allowed 3 earned runs over 5 innings. Boise reliever Tony Ruíz was the winner. His record is now 2-3. The losing pitcher was Fu Yue. Mitsuzuka Nakano got credit for the save for Boise. It was his 10th of the year.

This game was not decided until Wilfred Bray came to bat in the top of the ninth. With the bases loaded and one out, the Boise shortstop drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Bloodhounds took the lead, 7-6.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Coney Island manager Loren Garrison. "The effort was great."

Boise occupies 5th place in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division at 19-24.
