Losing Streak Continues for Gnats with 3-2 Loss
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Winfield Warriors and the Nichols Gnats, Les van Kleef was the difference-maker. The Winfield right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Earning his 4th save for Winfield was Rich Steele. The slumping Gnats have dropped 8 in a row.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning. Facing Nichols hurler Tsuginori Inoue, Denzel Kemsley, who is tied for 2nd in the BOL in hits with 53, grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Warriors went on to win.
