Mustangs Beat Vikings, 7-1
|
Pitcher Beau Miller was sensational for the San Angelo Mustangs in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Victoria Vikings. Miller received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The second-place Mustangs improved to 27-15.
A decisive at-bat came in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the batter, Eiichi Kobayashi, hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 2-1, San Angelo, and helped them go on to win.
"We had a nice day," said San Angelo skipper Dave Callahan.
