Vikings Need Extras to Top Panthers

The Victoria Vikings got a magnificent performance from pitcher Virisimo Antona, who muffled the Charleston offense en route to a tight 2-1 Vikings win at Franklin Mountains Field. At 15-22, the Vikings find themselves in last place in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division.
Runs were scarce in this one. So, Osamu Iesada's at-bat in the top of the tenth was vitally important. With one out, the Victoria left fielder hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Iesada.
