Chippewa first baseman Jang-lu Xiang pounded Boise Bloodhounds pitchers at The Reservation, but it was not enough to keep the River Chiefs from falling, 10-9. Xiang was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Chippewa has now lost 4 in a row.

Doug Parks's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a forkball from George Fortin Jr. for a run-scoring single. It put Boise in front, 10-9.
