Riding the 2-hit performance of the 20-year old left fielder José Padilla, the Eugene Emeralds stopped the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 7-1. Eugene reliever Javier Ballina was the winner. His record is now 4-3. Dave Munier took the loss. Eugene now has a 3-game win streak.

Padilla was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Eugene. With the game tied in the bottom of the third, Padilla had a clutch at-bat. That's when he hit a 3-run home run to give the Emeralds a 4-1 lead.
