|
Baltimore Blue Claws starter Lourenço Russa pitched a strong game against the Winfield Warriors at The Barn, leading the Blue Claws to a 7-3 win. The winning pitcher was Russa, now 3-2. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Chico Silvrio earned the save, his 2nd.
The Blue Claws grabbed the lead in the top of the fifth. With no one out, Hugo Henrique hit a 3-run home run off Armando Hernández, putting Baltimore in front, 4-0. For Henrique, it was his 2nd home run of the season.
Russa told a Baltimore News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
After today's action, Baltimore sits at 17-18, while Winfield falls to 18-17.
