Kinch Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Eugene in Walk-Off Win
The Emeralds had to overcome a good performance from Coney Island pitcher Austin Covey to claim a 5-4 win at Prefontaine Park. Covey went 5.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Reliever James Woodard picked up the win. His record improves to 1-2. Carl Cozens took the loss. With the loss, Coney Island drops to 14-17.

Phil Kinch was the walk-off hero for Eugene. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Eugene third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This joint was rocking," said Kinch.
