The exploits of designated hitter Reggie Volkmann, who leads the BOL in hits with 41, helped the Victoria Vikings defeat the Barrow Frosties, 7-1. Volkmann was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Yoshimochi Chikuda was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Victoria is now 12-17.
The Victoria triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Pedro Moreno. In the top of the third, the Victoria first baseman hit a 3-run home run. It staked his team to a 3-0 lead.
