Getting a good performance from right fielder Kosaku Sato, the Coney Island Cyclones defeated the Chippewa River Chiefs, 5-2. Sato was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Cyclones. The win leaves Coney Island with a record of 14-16.
Sato provided the big break for the Cyclones in the bottom of the second inning. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run, helping Coney Island to get the win.
Sato told a Coney Island News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
