Panthers Trip Warriors in Extras
|
The Charleston Panthers beat the Winfield Warriors, 7-6, in 11 innings. Charleston right fielder Ted Pritchard merited player of the game honors with his performance. He went 4-6 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Reliever Mitsuzuka Koyama picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Conor Temple took the loss. Earning his 1st save for Charleston was Shusui Ojima.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 11th inning. With one out, Nathan Jacobson hit a 2-2 sinker from Conor Temple for a run-scoring single. It put Charleston in front, 7-6.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Charleston manager Todd Hall.
The Panthers, now 10-20, have not found much traction so far in 2028.
