Frosties Fall to Park, Gnats
|
The Nichols Gnats relied on the hitting of left fielder Kyung-chul Park to stop the Barrow Frosties, 9-7. For the game, Park went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Nichols reliever Valentim Carrapa was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Paul Murat. Nichols, now 10-15, is off to a slow start.
Lian-wei Khu gave Nichols a good at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single to help send Nichols to the win.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Park told the Nichols Daily News.
