Blue Claws Fall Short, 3-2, at New Orleans
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the New Orleans Jedi Knights and the Baltimore Blue Claws, Dave Munier was the difference-maker. The New Orleans left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. New Orleans reliever En-guo Guan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chico Silvrio was saddled with the loss. The Blue Claws fall to 8-12 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2028 season.
Edison Weldon contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped send New Orleans to the win.
"If we keep winning the close games" said Weldon, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
