Salviati Excels in Eugene Win
Eugene and Nichols met at The Pond in front of a lively crowd.

Emeralds second baseman Justin Salviati put his stamp on his team's 9-0 win over the Nichols Gnats. Salviati was 2-2 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6 for Eugene in the contest. The Gnats fall to 7-12 and continue their uneven start to the 2028 season.

Salviati contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Eugene get the win.

"I really like what we did out there today," Salviati said after the game.
