San Angelo starter Clay Melsom pitched effectively against the Boise Bloodhounds at Grand Canyon Valley Park. The right-hander led his team to a 7-5 win. Earning his 2nd save for San Angelo was Luis Domínguez. With the win, San Angelo improves its record to 13-8.

The most important at-bat for San Angelo came in the top of the ninth inning, when pinch hitter Ichiyo Murakami stroked a 0-1 fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting San Angelo up, 6-5.

"Clay was throwing free and easy," said San Angelo manager Dave Callahan.
