The San Angelo Mustangs topped the Boise Bloodhounds, 8-0, with third baseman Steven Darby playing a big role. Darby hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Mustangs in the win. J.J. Crawford got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Bloodhounds to 0 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. San Angelo, now 12-8, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Flexing his muscles for San Angelo was the aforementioned Darby. The third baseman had a 3-run home run in the top of the third for the Mustangs. It put his team ahead, 3-0, and sent them on to victory.
