Vikings Shut Out Knights

The Victoria Vikings got a scintillating performance from pitcher Virisimo Antona, who shut out the Kingwood Knights, 8-0. Antona went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-2. The win moves Victoria to a record of 8-10.
In the bottom of the first, Phil Parker hit a 3-run home run for Victoria. The 2nd home run of the season for the Victoria catcher put the Vikings on top, 3-0.
"Virisimo's tempo and rhythm were good," said Victoria Vikings manager Charles Luce. "He was the key to us winning."
